Our Place Clubhouse has been a positive and special place for me to attend. I have been a member since 1995. I have come and gone over the years and I have been welcomed each time I’ve returned. The clubhouse has become a home away from home for me to visit three to four times a week. It’s a place where I can socialize and do meaningful productive work in the clubhouse units. The members here have become good friends and the staff have provided friendship and also become special people in my life. I have had the opportunity to receive work experience at the clubhouse which has allowed me to work in the Tucson community from time to time (I am thankful for work experiences I have been able to get through the clubhouse). I am also thankful to come to a community which allows me to be myself and be with people who have similar issues in life. We share common bounds and help each other get through the highs and lows of mental illness.
